Nicholas Hawtin is a program manager at CONNECT Denmark, a member-driven and sponsor-funded business development organization that brings 1,000 mentors together with 200 case companies a year helping them grow from start-up through scaling and internationalization.

Torben Rügge
Torben is participating in three telehealth projects for COPD. Monitoring of patients in their homes, or at work keeps many patients out of hospitals to a great saving to the society. Often dynamic decision support systems lie behind these services. Owner at cure-it, a health IT consultancy that focuses on dynamic decision support systems and the terminologies used in clinical guidelines. Consultancy assignments have covered responsibility for the speaker management at the HIMSS eHealth Week 2012 in Copenhagen- VP of Sales and Marketing. CareCom specializes in systems for Healthcare Terminology Services and classifications systems.(SNOMED CT, ICD, ICPC, ICF, etc.). Torben is an Independent Consultant Owner of TOR-Informatik, Healthcare IT Computer Science (Copenhagen University) Medicine (Glasgow University and Southern General Hospital, Glasgow) Medicine (Copenhagen University) Over twenty years in Health Informatics. Independent consultancy since 1995, previously with suppliers, Logica Ltd., CRI A/S. Previous posts included responsibility for marketing and sales of clinical and administrative solutions to customers in the Scandinavian market. Consultancy assignments have covered responsibility for the commercial aspects of MIE96 and setting up the exhibition for this conference (EFMI), Network and communication strategies (Danish Ministry of Health), joint marketing agreement for sales of laboratory systems, Communication Strategy project (Aalborg University), Business and Research working together (Danish Data Association, ass. project management of a large PAS implementation (SMS), clinical systems development for laboratories and anaesthesia, general manager of SMS Denmark, due diligence investigations of various Scandinavian companies for possible acquisition, account manager for a number of Norwegian public health enterprises (for iSOFT Plc.), mitigator in various legal disputes, responding to EU tenders for clients.

Jens Raarup - General Manager Cortrium
Born 1964 in the Copenhagen area.
Graduated 1988 as Bs.Sc.EE in Radio Frequency Design and Signal Processing. Has worked 6 years as design engineer at Philips Radio Communication Systems. There after 19 years as Research & Development Director at Nokia. In 2012 I co-founded the Copenhagen X-Price Team (CXT) to participate in the Qualcomm X-Prize Medical Tricorder challenge. Being faced with the challenge of raising money for this project, I made a spin-off from CXT to establish the Cortrium company who specializes in medical technology for athletes to track their physical condition and response to training. Currently I hold the position as General Manager at Cortrium Aps. In Cortrium we are developing a wearable vital signs monitor to be used for healthy people.

Uwe Diegel
Born Nov 1, 1965 in Dunedin, New Zealand
Uwe is a specialist in the oscillometric measurement of and in various other forms of medical diagnostics pertaining to blood pressure, temperature, asthma and diabetes. He is the holder of several patents pertaining to temperature and blood pressure measurement. Biography After studying music in Canada and at the University of Cape Town, South Africa, he performed worldwide as a concert pianist for several years. In 1989 he was forced to change his career due to an injury to his right arm. He developed a new technology for the processing and production of low-lactose milk products and in 1992 he entered the world of medical diagnostics, quickly developing a particular interest in the field of cardiovascular diagnostics. His intense scientific curiosity has led him not only to develop new technologies in the field of cardiovascular diagnostics, but also to interest himself to field of medical manufacturing, industrial design and problems faced by Chinese manufacturing concerns. For several years, he has acted as an adviser on the subject of corporate branding for several Asian companies. In 2004, Uwe (and brother Olaf) DIEGEL invented a revolutionary technology for the storage and transport of thermo-sensitive medication. Winning multiple awards worldwide, this product has now been incorporated in the business of and is considered to be one of the most important advances in the field of diabetes management in recent years.
Uwe lives and Paris, France, where he runs HealthWorks Global and does fundamental research in blood pressure diagnostics. He is today considered to be a foremost expert in the field of blood pressure management and in the manufacturing of devices pertaining to the field of medical diagnostics. In 2009, Uwe got interested in Connected Health as a means of providing better patient management. He became involved in iHealth, a platform which takes all the signals of the body and translates into a meaningful format using smartphones and tablets. iHealth is today the world leader in the field of Connected Health. Uwe now serves as the President of iHealthLabs Europe, established in 2013 in Paris.
