Our ambition is to challenge and provoke existing devices:
We'll do this by hacking and changing existing devices. We want to combine people who have a passion for exploring technology and taking things apart to reinvent them (hackers/makers) with people who are medical experts who both help and are the end users (doctors, nurses, physiotherapists) with people who create medical devices (companies, organizations) and then to find out what happens when we work together to create something new - in two days.
About Us:
Our aim is to create impact for patients & people via connected health devices and with our challenge, we want you to make part of this revolution.
What could be done to prevent people to become unhealthy, support wellness, deal better with chronic diseases, undertake and support self-diagnoses, or help healthcare to become more mobile and move more and more outside of hospitals or GP's offices? Together we find out!
Bits & Beers...
Day 2 will conclude with a Bits & Beers event at Republikken. Bits & Beers is an ongoing collaboration between Republikken & DELTA wherein the traditional aspects of a conference including talks, demonstrations and presentations are coupled with the social and fun atmosphere of a Friday Bar.
The theme for Bits & Beers is Laser Cutters - past, present, and future. People working in the field of laser cutting are invited to present what they work on, be it design, architecture, jewellery, textiles, or many other domains. We'll feature talks from industry specialists on the past, present and future of laser cutting and what it means to our everyday routines and we'll have ongoing demonstrations where you can drink a beer, and play with a laser cut creation, hearing more from its creator about how it was made and the thoughts behind it.
